*$1,000 RETENTION BONUS* The employee will receive half after completing 3 months of employment and the remaining half after 6 months of employment.
The Group Home Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a viable program that provides a wide array of services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders to maximize their independence and integration into the community. The Group Home Coordinator will ensure that Basic Living Skills (BLS) training is provided for all individuals in accordance with department guidelines, ensure staff are meeting the required productivity levels, and submit billing in a timely manner. Other duties include supervising staff who provide care and services such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care, medication administration, and transporting. Paid job training is provided for CPR, first aid, driver training, and medication administration certification (MAC). This position will be discussed in more depth during the interview.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field and one (1) year of experience in a direct mental health service-related field, or Bachelor’s degree in a non-mental health-related field with two (2) years of experience in a mental health service-related field, or High school diploma/GED with three (3) years of experience in a mental health residential setting.
- Current/Valid driver’s license and be 21 with an insurable driving record to meet driving insurability requirements.
- Knowledge of computer software and programs, Word, Outlook, Excel, and type 40 wpm.
- You will be required to complete MAC (Medication Assistant Certified) training.
- Employment requires a 5 day paid orientation held in Marion County, AL, Monday-Friday, 8:30a-4p.
