The Regional Float RN provides safe, continuous, quality patient care across multiple units within a market-based healthcare setting. They are part of a nursing resource team, assigned to various facilities to meet patient care needs, working in at least three different locations.

- Graduation from an accredited program with a 2-year/Associate Degree required; BSN preferred.
- Experience in at least one specialty (Med Surg, Tele, Critical Care, ED, Women’s) is required.
- Current compact licensure in the appropriate state is mandatory; specialty certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer service, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and computer literacy.
- Ability to interpret patient needs based on age and modify care accordingly.
- Completion of specialized training such as cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Additional certifications like Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or specialty-specific courses are beneficial.
