Internship Program
NorthRock’s internship program attracts top undergraduate students seeking meaningful exposure to the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) industry. Over the course of 12 weeks, interns gain hands-on experience, contribute to impactful projects, and engage directly with leaders and professionals across the firm.
Interns are valued members of their teams, building skills, professional confidence, and industry knowledge while exploring potential career paths within financial services.
Due to the nature of internship responsibilities, this person must be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, as this internship requires an in-office presence at our downtown Minneapolis office location.
About the Role
The Client Experience Intern supports our Client Experience team in enhancing NorthRock’s service model. This role offers exposure to client service operations, integration projects, and cross-departmental collaboration, all while learning how a client-first organization operates.
You’ll work closely with mentors to execute projects that strengthen consistency, efficiency, and client satisfaction across teams.
What You Will Do
- Assist with onboarding and transition activities for newly integrated teams
- Contribute to client experience initiatives that enhance touchpoints and efficiency
- Support process documentation, communication, and team operations
- Partner with directors and managers on special projects that improve client service
- Track progress on client engagement and service delivery metrics
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, People, and Finance on shared initiatives
What You Bring
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
- Junior or senior class standing preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM or scheduling platform experience a plus
- Interest in client experience, operations, or financial services
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a credit and criminal background check is required
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for Employee Sick & Safe Time (ESST). For more details on ESST, visit the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's website.
