Job Overview
Our client, a finance firm based in New York City, is seeking a Benefits & Compensation Lead to join their Human Resources / Total Rewards function. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the firm’s compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong experience in compensation analysis, benefits administration, and HR operations within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, bonus plans, and annual merit cycles
- Manage employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, wellness offerings, and vendor relationships
- Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness within the financial services industry
- Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders on compensation decisions, promotions, and job evaluations
- Oversee annual benefits renewal process, including vendor negotiations and plan optimization
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and employee benefits
- Analyze compensation data and provide insights to support workforce planning and budgeting
- Support executive compensation reporting and governance processes as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert on total rewards policies and employee communications
- Drive enhancements to HR systems and processes related to compensation and benefits administration
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, or Total Rewards roles
- Strong background in financial services or similarly complex, regulated environments preferred
- Deep understanding of compensation structures, incentive plans, and benefits administration
- Experience with market pricing tools, salary surveys, and HRIS systems
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision making
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
