Accounting Assistant
We are currently recruiting on an accounting assistant for a client’s growing finance department. This position is starting on a temporary basis with the potential to convert to a full-time permanent job in the near future. This position is fully onsite in-office 5days per week. Starting pay is $25-30/hr.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our client’s US finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting & finance department by performing day-to-day administrative and clerical. This position will require you to have great attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage executive calendar, scheduling meetings, conference calls, and appointments.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense reports.
- Prepare meeting materials, presentations, agendas, and supporting documentation.
- Screen and prioritize incoming emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
- Maintain confidential files and sensitive financial information.
- Assist with special projects, research assignments, and ad hoc requests.
- Provide administrative support to the Accounting and Finance teams.
- Organize, maintain, and update departmental files, records, and documentation.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and distribute reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Coordinate department meetings, take meeting notes, and track action items.
- Manage office supplies and departmental inventory as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, invoices, and correspondence.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records within accounting systems.
- Support invoice processing, vendor documentation, and expense report administration.
- Organize and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial files.
- Assist with reconciliations, audit requests, and month-end documentation.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Excel and other financial software.
- Track departmental budgets, expenses, and purchase requests.
- Support internal and external audits by gathering required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of administrative, clerical, accounting support, or office administration experience.
- Experience supporting senior executives or finance professionals is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial platforms is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
