The Behavior Intervention Specialist provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual and school-wide behavioral, social-emotional, and instructional supports. This role combines expertise in applied behavior analysis with administrative leadership to promote a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environment and to improve outcomes for all students. Essential Functions: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of individual and school-wide behavior systems, discipline practices, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student well-being, engagement, and positive behavior. Collaborate with school leadership to address attendance, school climate, and student wellness through data-driven decision-making. Oversee crisis prevention and intervention planning, including staff training and response protocols. Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and lead the development of individualized Behavior Support Plans in collaboration with teams and families. Design, implement, and evaluate behavior intervention programs, including discrete trial training and other evidence-based methodologies. Establish and monitor data collection systems; analyze behavioral and academic data to inform programming and adjust interventions. Observe students across settings and provide actionable recommendations to improve instructional and behavioral outcomes. Partner with special educators to strengthen instructional practices, particularly in special education, social-emotional learning, and behavior support. Guide special education staff in the use of differentiated instruction, authentic assessment strategies, and effective classroom management techniques. Support curriculum development and alignment with district and state standards, with an emphasis on equitable access for all learners. Provide ongoing coaching, consultation, and professional development to staff on evidence-based practices. Lead staff training in data collection, progress monitoring, and intervention fidelity. Identify professional development needs and design training aligned with student and program goals. Provide training and resources for families and facilitate parent engagement opportunities. Collaborate with school psychologists, counselors, special education staff, and administrators to coordinate comprehensive student supports. Participate in and contribute to IEP, Section 504, and student support team meetings, including progress monitoring and goal development. Lead or support transition planning across grade levels, programs, and placements. Communicate student progress and program needs to district leadership to inform resource allocation and program development. Ensure compliance with district policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of practice. Promote equity, cultural responsiveness, and inclusive practices across all programs and services. Perform other duties as required to ensure the effective functioning of the school and student support programs.

Salary : $100,000 - $113,000
