Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory therapy techniques, patient assessment, and airway management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to therapy, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in respiratory therapy practices, anatomy, physiology, and related technologies.
Qualifications
- Current IL Respiratory Therapist License Required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications
- At least 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the respiratory system.
- Proficient in airway management techniques and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality of care.
