Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients across various medical-surgical units, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through expert assessment, intervention, and education. Your proactive approach will support patient recovery, promote safety, and enhance the overall hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, and wound suturing, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients’ conditions continuously using telemetry systems and respond swiftly to changes in vital signs or symptoms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication management and discharge instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Participate in emergency response procedures such as airway management and acute pain management during critical incidents or trauma cases.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state licensure.
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of proven experience in medical-surgical nursing.
