Oncology Nurse
Shift - 7:00 to 19:30
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring they receive comprehensive support throughout their journey.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications when applicable.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and perform physical examinations to evaluate treatment responses and identify potential complications promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication administration, side effect management, and self-care techniques to empower them in their care journey.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices in oncology nursing.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and institutional standards.
- Manage medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheter care, suturing, specimen collection, and aseptic techniques during treatments or interventions.
Qualifications
- Valid WI RN license and BLS certification
- At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience.
