ICU Registered Nurse
Shift - Days (0700-1930), Rotating weekends
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an ICU nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring critically ill patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions continuously.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
- Perform advanced nursing procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, and airway management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Engage in critical thinking to respond effectively to emergencies or changes in patient status.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of Intensive Care Unit experience
- Current Oregon RN license
- ACLS, BLS & NIHSS certifications
