Launch your path in precision manufacturing as a Junior Precision Machining Technician. Train in our Screw Machine Academy and gain hands-on experience with Tornos Swiss-type equipment.
Your Schedule
- Train days for 4–6 weeks
- Then move to nights: roughly 8 pm to 6 am, about 50 hours per week
What You Will Learn
- Tornos machine anatomy and operating workflow
- Machine controls, setup steps, and basic maintenance
- Bar stock prep and restocking routines
- Troubleshooting and preventing quality issues
- Tool changes and slide adjustments
- Shaving operations, roller supports, and floating holders
- Collet and pusher care; changing cutoff tools
- Pickoff and cutoff optimization
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
- Ability to pass an onsite mechanical aptitude test
- Comfort working permanent nights after onboarding
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Enjoys hands-on, learn-by-doing environments

- Automotive repair, including brakes, oil changes, and tire service
