About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing (Inventory Control) Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will support daily procurement and inventory operations, helping ensure the timely and cost-effective purchasing of raw materials and supplies essential to our production. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operations, and meeting customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Support the procurement team throughout the purchasing process, from requisition and inventory review to delivery
- Collaborate with inventory control to monitor stock levels and generate replenishment orders
- Place purchase orders and track them to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Prepare reports related to inventory, purchasing activity, cost analysis, and supplier performance
- Assist with market research and analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Work closely with inventory, sales, and production teams to align purchasing with customer demand and production schedules
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory support; experience in manufacturing or packaging is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP); experience with ERP or inventory management systems is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
