Job description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal Purchasing Assistant will assist in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods to meet production and operational needs. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced ERP systems and develop expertise in procurement processes within a dynamic environment.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pmPayrate: $22/hrTemp to HireResponsibilities:Manage purchase orders using ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize costs and delivery schedulesMonitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure adequate stock levelsSupport production planning by aligning procurement schedules with manufacturing timelinesMaintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier informationAssist in logistics coordination to ensure timely delivery of materials and suppliesContribute to supply chain management initiatives, including sourcing strategies and supply chain optimizationSupport e-commerce procurement processes and manage related documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, logistics, and quality assuranceQualifications:1 years of experienceProficiency in ERP systems and other supply chain management softwareStrong understanding of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory control, and procurement processesKnowledge of contracts management and sourcing strategiesEffective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and internal teamsAbility to analyze data related to inventory levels, pricing trends, and supply chain performanceStrong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keepingThis is an excellent opportunity to start or grow your career as a Purchasing Assistant.
