Position Title: Packaging Operator - L1
Reports To: Supply Chain Management Logistics Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Responsibility:
· This position is responsible for supporting packaging & warehouse duties in order to assure smooth logistics operations.
List of Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities: · Enhances Packaging Procedures by exceeding the daily requirements of packaging finished goods; by assisting the Shipping Coordinator in the finished goods area in order to meet shipping requirements; by assisting with warehouse duties; by performing all warehouse, packaging and logistical job assignments designated by the SCM Team Leader; by conducting accurate inventory counts; and by performing other duties as assigned.
· Maintains Warehouse Duties by maintaining all necessary documents; by watching for and reporting all potential safety hazards; by using and utilizing various types of lift trucks; by assisting the Shipping Coordinator with daily responsibilities and functions; by assisting the Receiving departments with certain functions and duties; by conducting accurate inventory counts; by performing daily housekeeping for the work area and equipment; and by generating positive customer feedback.
· Oversees Staff by training new Logistics Staff on departmental policies and procedures; by wearing proper PPE and instructing subordinate Staff to follow; and by explaining the company quality policy to Staff.
· Maintains Documentation by maintaining and following all implemented quality paperwork as designed; by supporting all company quality policies; by reporting all potential safety hazards; and by submitting continuous improvement suggestions and providing evidence.
· Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time.
· Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.
· Performs Other Duties as assigned by manager, supervisor, or team leader.
· Upholds Standards of Quality, Cost, and Safety by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining quality, cost, and safety; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company; by immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of quality, cost, and safety to the Supervisor or Management; and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary.
· Contributes to the Team Effort by consistently achieving individual goals in order to contribute to the achievement of departmental and Company goals; by being flexible in work assignments; by covering for other Staff as needed; by accomplishing related tasks when requested; by being open to feedback from peers, Supervisors, and Management; and by using the feedback to improve performance.

Ensure all Finished Good pallets are packaged to the customers specifications as listed on the Process Standard ( Includes Parts. Lot, Quantity).
Education / Certifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills and Knowledge:
· Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively respond to questions in English.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Ability to effectively deliver presentations to Managers, Staff, clients, and the general public in English."
· Mathematical Skills
Basic Math including an 80% score or higher for the SCM Logistics ""Basic Math Test"" LD-FO-013."
· Reasoning Skills
Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.). "
· Computer Skills
Ability to use a computer as necessary.
· Other Skills
Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
Must have knowledge of standard purchasing procedures, as well as procurement rules and regulations.
Must have knowledge of Quality and Environmental systems."
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
· Ability to stand, sit, or walk, in office or field duties;
· A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe documents at the office or materials on the field;
· Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation;
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience / Qualification:
· Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience
· Must pass a written Math test
