Position Title: Manufacturing Operator-LI (Mixing)
Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor
Department: Manufacturing
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Essential Responsibility:
• This position is responsible for operating machines that Mix Materials. This position also possesses knowledge of various manufacturing machines, Computer knowledge, process operations and product I.D.
List of Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities: • Reviews Specifications by reading process standards to determine material requirements; by determining the accuracy of machine operations by following material recipes, by observing machines and detecting machine malfunctions.
• Operates Machines by recipes; by activating the machine through scans, programs; by completing all necessary documents in a clear and timely manner; by reporting any problems with machines to Management in a timely manner; by loading and performing any other functions to tend to machines.
Qualifications:
Education / Certifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• Must have two years' experience in a manufacturing and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time.
• Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.
Additional Required Skills and Knowledge:• Upholds Standards of Quality, Cost, and Safety by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining quality, cost, and safety; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company; by immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of quality, cost, and safety to the Supervisor or Management; by wearing proper PPE as established by the departmental mgt. and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary.
• Contributes to the Team Effort by consistently achieving individual goals in order to contribute to the achievement of departmental and Company goals; by being flexible in work assignments; by covering for other Staff as needed; by accomplishing related tasks when requested; by being open to feedback from peers, Supervisors, and Management; and by using the feedback to improve performance.
• Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by attaining job-related certification as necessary; by seeking out job-related training in order to improve personal skills, as well as efficiency and knowledge in the workplace; and by applying that knowledge to the job.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
• Ability to stand or walk up to 12hrs.
• A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe equipment;
• Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with regularity.
Experience / Qualification:
Language Skills
• Ability to effectively respond to questions in English.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics, including minimum, maximum, average, and other principles.
Reasoning Skills
• Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.
Experience / Qualification:
Other Skills
• Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
• Able to understand & practice the basic manufacturing fundamentals of NAMI, including 3S check system, 5S, Control-By-Looking, poka-yoke, safety, Company Policy, and quality policy.
• Must be skilled with the knowledge of many different manufacturing machines, process operations, and product I.D.
• Must be able to identify possible safety problems and report accordingly.
• Experience preferred in a mixing operation of at least one year.
