Nirvana Kitchen & Wine Bar is a chef‑driven, service‑focused restaurant known for elevated dishes, thoughtful wine pairings, and a warm, modern atmosphere. We’re looking for energetic, detail‑oriented team members who take pride in creating a seamless dining experience.
The Dishwasher/Busser plays a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment. This position is responsible for washing dishes, assisting with basic food prep as needed, and supporting the front-of-house team by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. This an hourly position plus tips! This position can also be trained to be a food runner as well, which comes with added compensation.
Dishwashing
- Operate the dish machine and hand‑wash items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Properly sort, rack, and store clean items in designated areas.
- Keep dish area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Take out trash and recycling; maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas.
Bussing / Dining Room Support
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
- Assist servers by refilling water and providing general guest support.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room, including wiping surfaces, sweeping floors, and restocking service stations.
- Help ensure a smooth flow of service during busy periods.
General
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with both kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.
- Assist with light food prep when needed (optional depending on your setup).
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
