Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual cleaning methods in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, dining areas, and service stations by regularly cleaning surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold sanitation standards.
- Assist servers by bussing tables promptly—removing used dishes, glassware, and trash to ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and assisting with basic food handling under supervision.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly while adhering to all kitchen health and safety standards.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as bulk supplies or large trays with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Follow all food safety management protocols and sanitation procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and kitchen health regulations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic knife skills or experience with food preparation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated commitment to cleanliness, organization, and teamwork within a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of catering or banquet service experience can enhance your ability to support diverse events.
