Job Summary:
Nicklaus Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the growth of our civil engineering department while contributing to the technical development and delivery of civil engineering projects. This role applies advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices to the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions for commercial, municipal, and federal clients.
The Civil Engineer exercises independent professional judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard and specialized civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Responsibilities include the design and technical oversight of civil engineering projects such as drainage systems, erosion and sediment control measures, stormwater management systems, water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, and related permitting activities.
This is a full-time position, exempt position.

Work Schedule:
- This position is expected to fulfill job responsibilities as required to meet project demands. Workdays are typically scheduled Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on project needs.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform civil engineering design within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Lead the design and technical development of civil engineering projects including drainage, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, water treatment, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Review civil engineering design and construction deliverables including construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and supporting design documentation.
- Prepare and coordinate permitting documents for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Provide construction phase support including site inspections and construction oversight as required.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare and review construction drawings.
- Travel and fieldwork may be required depending on project needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
- 10 years of civil engineering consulting experience.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer.
- Valid Driver’s License and Evidence of Insurability.
