Job Summary:
Our firm is seeking an experienced, skilled and motivated Certified Geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to conduct geological surveys, analyze earth materials, and support projects in mining, environmental consulting, construction, or energy. The ideal candidate will be licensed/certified in geology (e.g., PG – Professional Geologist or equivalent) and possess strong analytical and fieldwork skills.
This is a full-time position.

Work Schedule:
- This position is expected to fulfill job responsibilities as required to meet project demands. Workdays are typically scheduled Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on project needs.

- Conduct field investigations, including soil, rock, and groundwater sampling.
- Analyze geological data using laboratory tests and computer models.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and diagrams to summarize findings.
- Assess the suitability of sites for construction, mining, or resource extraction.
- Support environmental impact assessments and remediation projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate geological hazards such as earthquakes, landslides, or sinkholes.
- Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and other geotechnical software tools.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory or legal use.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of geological sampling, modeling, and reporting.
- Proficiency in GIS software, AutoCAD, and geology-specific tools.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in an agile work environment with personnel delivering from multiple locations or remotely.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Client (internal and external) service focus.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with abilities to multitask and complete various assignments at once.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
- 2-5 years of professional geology experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with slope stability, settlement analysis, seismic design, or ground improvement.
- Familiarity with environmental site assessments or contaminated land.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Certified or licensed as a Professional Geologist (PG)
- Valid Driver’s License and Evidence of Insurability.
Working Conditions:
- Mix of office and fieldwork; exposure to outdoor conditions.
- May involve lifting equipment and samples, and working in remote areas.
- Occasional travel to project sites, sometimes overnight.
