Position Overview
The Nicholas Family of Companies is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Content Creator to lead the development and execution of digital content across our Spectate Group sports arena platforms. This role will be responsible for elevating our digital footprint through engaging social media content, targeted digital advertising, and storytelling that highlights our sports and hockey programming, teams, events, and facility offerings.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of sports, figure skating, and hockey culture, teams, and programming, along with proven experience creating high-performing digital content in a fast-paced sports or entertainment environment.
Spectate Group currently operates three ice arenas and will be adding multiple additional arenas in the next two years. This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to make a lasting impact—enhancing the Spectate Group brand presence, increasing its national reach, and supporting its exponential growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for each of our facilities, across all social platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn)
- Create engaging, on-brand content including video, photography, graphics, and copywriting
- Manage day-to-day social media posting, scheduling, and community engagement
- Produce real-time content during games, tournaments, and events(live coverage, highlights, behind-the-scenes)
- Plan and implement digital advertising campaigns to drive attendance, registrations, and brand awareness
- Collaborate with Spectate Group operations, as well as onsite teams, coaches, and marketing staff to capture and promote programming
- Maintain and enhance each arena’s digital presence, ensuring consistency across all platforms
- Analyze performance metrics and optimize content based on engagement, reach, and conversion data
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging digital strategies
- Support website updates, email campaigns, and other digital marketing initiatives as needed
- Maintain organized file structures and asset libraries for team accessibility
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation(sports industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of hockey and figure skating(youth, amateur, and/or professional levels)
- Proficiency in content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability and license to fly indoor and outdoor drone
- Experience with social media management platforms and analytics tools
- Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.)
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and visual communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays aligned with event schedules; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
