Job Title: Social Media Content Creator – Marketing Assistant

Position Summary:
The Social Media Content Creator – Marketing Assistant is primarily responsible for developing and creating high-quality, branded content that positively and accurately portrays our brands and maximizes engagement among social media followers. They deliver fresh ideas with a high level of creativity to push our social media presence forward. This will help to ensure the Marketing and Social Media goals are successfully delivered within the framework of Gibsons Restaurant Group (GRG) philosophy and culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings with the marketing team to analyze and comment on social media analytics, brainstorm new and varied content ideas and engagement practices, and coordinate a content shot list that spotlights the Gibsons core values.
- Maintain and optimize all social media channels assigned to you
- Execute and Maintain a social media content calendar
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions; respond promptly and professionally.
- Track campaign and social media performance metrics
- Prepare marketing performance reports for management review.
- Deliver all photo and video content in high-quality formats, along with the necessary accompanying information
- Must stay up-to-date on current trends in order to maximize engagement
- Target appropriate followers and influencers through the use of relevant hashtags, and viral trends
- Ensure videos can be used as reels to provide continuity across platforms
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop a content shot list that demonstrates each individual restaurant’s brand identity, voice, and the Gibsons core values in a creative way
- Schedule time with the appointed restaurant (e.g., chefs, bartenders, managers, etc.) to film content per the agreed upon shot list
- Must be mindful to schedule shoots during slower periods so as to not add extra pressure to the kitchen, bar, or staff
- Direct and shoot video content, understanding each restaurant’s brand identity, voice, and the Gibsons core values are critical components of creating each video
- Shoot plentiful still images of all content on the shot list for cover photo options and future grid posts (finished product, process shots, behind the scenes, staged with other food/drink/ambiance, etc.)
- Edit the content into usable Reels and high-resolution photos in a timely manner
- Deliver content to the marketing team for approval in an agreed upon “content calendar” format that can be easily edited by both sides.
- Posts: Still images presented as solo posts or carousel posts accompanied by a suggested caption (or two), pertinent hashtags, tags/collaborations, and publishing date and time
- Reels: Edited video accompanied by 1-2 song choices, a suggested caption (or two), pertinent hashtags, tags/collaborations, publishing date and time, and 1-2 still photo options for cover photos
- Stories: Videos and/or still images mocked up with copy, links, GIFs, music, etc.
- Schedule and/or manually publish posts and reels to the relevant social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok)
- Create copy and design of marketing collateral.
- Maintain marketing databases, contact lists, and digital asset libraries
- Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns across digital (email marketing), print, and social media platforms.

Education and/or Experience:
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma. Education or experience in Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design and/or Communications preferred.
Photography & Videography Skills:
Requires experience with phone photography, lighting, and filters. Requires creativity in content creation to market each restaurant and brand. Requires ability to edit photos and videos into usable, high-quality content.
Design Skills:
Requires knowledge and experience with design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Indesign.
Social Media Skills:
Requires an extensive knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok (specifically reels). Requires an ability to leverage knowledge of current social media trends and engage with followers on each platform. Requires an ability to analyze and discuss social media analytics on a periodic basis.
Other Qualifications:
Requires communication and time management skills. Requires flexibility in scheduling. Requires an extremely high level of attention to detail. Requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
