Data Center Cabling Technician (AI Infrastructure)
Location: Fairless Hills, PA
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Full-Time Hire)
Job Overview
We are hiring Data Center Cabling Technicians to supportAI infrastructure deployment in Fairless Hills, PA. This is a hands-on role working in an active data center construction environment, installing AI server racks and structured cabling. If you have experience with low-voltage cabling, telecom, fiber, structured cabling, or similar installation work, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Install, route, and secure fiber and copper cabling.
- Pull cables through trays, conduits, and pathways.
- Assist with AI server rack installation and equipment movement.
- Label, organize, and dress cables according to project standards.
- Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Perform basic documentation and inventory updates.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Work collaboratively with installation teams to meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Structured cabling
- Low-voltage installation
- Telecom installation
- Fiber optic cabling
- Data center cabling
- Security/ADT camera installation
- Construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments
- Basic understanding of Layer 1 networking (fiber, copper cabling, patch panels, racks).
- Ability to read installation diagrams and follow work instructions.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory tracking.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly and assist with heavier team lifts.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to work in an active construction environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Must provide your own composite-toe (non-steel), over-the-ankle leather work boots.
Schedule
Candidates must be flexible to work one of the following shifts:
- Sunday–Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Future schedule may transition to Monday–Friday daytime hours based on business needs.
