Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support two Agile development teams within a highly collaborative and technical environment. This individual will serve as a servant leader, helping teams improve effectiveness, optimize Agile processes, and drive continuous improvement while partnering closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and development teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching teams, facilitating productive Scrum ceremonies, and building strong relationships across technical organizations. The ideal candidate is personable, highly organized, and comfortable working alongside engineers to solve challenges and improve team performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, self-organization, and continuous improvement
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment focused on delivering high-value work
- Identify and help remove impediments impacting team progress and delivery
- Track and communicate Agile metrics such as velocity, throughput, sprint progress, and team performance trends
- Drive meaningful retrospectives that result in actionable improvements
- Build strong relationships with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and development teams
- Support continuous process improvement efforts and help teams mature their Agile practices
- Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution when necessary
- Improve transparency and communication across teams and stakeholders
- Partner with technical teams developing tools and systems related to GIS, infrastructure planning, and engineering workflows
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience as a dedicated Scrum Master in a true Agile Scrum environment
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills
- Experience leading Scrum ceremonies and Agile process improvements
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships across teams
- Experience tracking and utilizing Agile metrics (velocity, throughput, sprint metrics, KPIs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working within technical environments and partnering with engineering teams
Preferred
- Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM I, SASM, or equivalent
- Experience supporting software development teams
- Background working with GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
- Exposure to ETL processes, data extraction, and data transformation workflows
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering and product organizations
