Required Skills & Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive QA/QC experience in heavy industrial construction (Utility, Industrial, Oil & Gas markets)
- Proven ability to implement and manage QA programs across multiple projects and large territories
- Experience providing technical oversight for welding, fabrication, and structural steel quality
- Strong knowledge of NBIC, ASME, AWS, ISO, and other federal, state, and local regulatory codes
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) required; ASNT Level III preferred
- Experience staffing and managing QA/QC personnel, including union craft oversight
- Demonstrated success in leading audits, inspections, root cause investigations, and corrective action plans
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management software
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness and ability to provide 24/7 on-call support and travel to job sites across the region
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or related technical field preferred
- Experience managing QA/QC for a wide range of complex projects in a corporate or multi-project environment
- Established client relationships in the utility, industrial, or oil & gas sectors
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Solution-minded, goal-oriented, quality-focused, with a high degree of integrity
