Treasury Operations

An Investment Management Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Treasury Operations Associate.

Responsibilities:

• Execute treasury operations for investment funds, including wire processing for fundings, intercompany transfers, FX transactions, margin calls, and swaps
• Support liquidity management to ensure adequate cash availability for upcoming funding needs
• Manage the opening, maintenance, and closure of fund bank accounts
• Oversee daily cash reconciliations and manage offshore support teams; investigate and resolve complex or escalated breaks
• Partner with fund administrators, trustees, and auditors on cash and treasury-related matters
• Drive process improvements and support automation initiatives across treasury functions
• Assist with testing and implementation of new systems, processes, and technologies
• Lead special projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in treasury, fund operations, or cash management
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall technical proficiency
• Solid experience with cash reconciliations and break resolution
• Proven ability to manage projects across varying levels of complexity
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrated leadership mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive results
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and solve complex problems
• Knowledge of cash management operations, including custodial activities (fixed income, loans, derivatives, collateral, FX, asset settlements) and payment systems (SWIFT, wires, settlement instructions)
• Experience working with complex fund structures
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Familiarity with FIS/SunGard VPM and Indus Valley Partners systems is a plus
