A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced operations professional to join their team as the AVP of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre- and post-trade settlement operations across a range of asset classes, including broadly syndicated loans, private credit, CLO debt and equity, bonds, and equities.
- Assist in the review and preparation of trade documentation for distressed and stressed loan settlements, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of restructuring documentation and timely communication among all parties.
- Respond to inquiries from fund administrators, trading counterparties, administrative agents, and outsourced service providers.
- Support the new account opening process by preparing required documentation and coordinating with administrators to facilitate timely account setup.
- Ensure newly established accounts are accurately set up and maintained in internal systems.
- Prepare warehouse borrowing requests, CLO subscription documents, and other related transactional materials.
- Assist with cash forecasting and daily settlement-date cash balance calculations to support trade settlements.
- Prepare and distribute required KYC documentation and tax forms to external parties, and coordinate with agents to request refunds related to tax withholdings as needed.
- Comply with firm data retention and recordkeeping policies and procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of technology-driven solutions to enhance internal recordkeeping, monitoring, and reporting capabilities.
- Perform other duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, with 5 years of relevant experience in CLOs, syndicated loans, loan products, or bonds, preferably in an operational credit administrator role at an investment adviser, administrator, or related professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of the primary and secondary CLO markets and/or par and distressed loan trading.
- Deep understanding of LSTA standard terms and conditions and loan market principles; familiarity with LMA terms and loan market practices is a plus.
- Proven ability to interpret credit agreements, amendments, and related documentation.
- Working knowledge of platforms such as ClearPar, WSO Administrator, Allvue Systems (Everest), FinDox, LendAmend, and/or DTCC (ALERT and CTM) is a plus.
- Experience with private credit is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
