Quality Control Inspector - Manufacturing | Lindon, UT

Nexeo Staffing is hiring a Junior to Mid-Level Quality Control Inspector for a growing manufacturing company in Lindon, UT. We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, cutting, or welding who is ready to grow their quality control skills. In this role, you’ll perform inspections throughout the production process, verify products meet drawings and specifications, identify quality concerns, and work closely with the production team to maintain high quality standards. Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of welding, cutting, fabrication, cleaning, and finishing work.
• Verify products meet blueprints, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect welds for defects such as porosity, undercut, cracking, and other inconsistencies.
• Use calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
• Identify, document, and separate nonconforming materials or finished parts.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and checklists.
• Assist with investigating quality issues and determining root causes.
• Work with production supervisors to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Track rework, scrap, and other quality-related metrics.
• Assist with customer and third-party inspections or audits as needed.
 • Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of cutting and welding processes such as MIG, TIG, Stick, Plasma, or Oxy-Fuel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and weld gauges.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize defects and quality concerns.
• Good documentation, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with welders, production employees, and supervisors.
• AWS CWI or ASNT Level II certification is a plus but not required.
 • Preferred: Familiarity with GD&T.

Pay

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
