The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through the management, retention, and expansion of assigned accounts. This role focuses on delivering superior staffing solutions and customer service, deepening client relationships, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
The AM partners closely with sales, recruiting, and operational teams to ensure successful fulfillment of client needs while maintaining a consistent focus on account retention, client engagement, spread growth, and overall branch performance. This position requires regular travel throughout the assigned service area, including daily client visits as needed to support relationship development, service execution, and business growth.

Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and grow assigned client accounts within the designated service area.
- Drive client retention and revenue growth through consistent account management and relationship development.
- Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and account reviews to strengthen partnerships and identify staffing needs.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, service quality, and issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities to expand services, increase account penetration, and improve overall spread performance within existing accounts.
- Conduct Day 1 walkthroughs and onboarding support for new employee starts on orders of five (5) or more to ensure successful deployment and client satisfaction.
- Complete quarterly business reviews with assigned accounts to evaluate performance, address concerns, and identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with sales, recruiting, and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment, workforce stability, and consistent service execution across assigned accounts.
- Maintain consistent client engagement activities and documented follow-up to support account growth, retention, and operational success.
- Maintain and update an active and accurate sales pipeline daily.
- Track all sales activities in Nexeo's system of record.
- Meet or exceed established scorecard activity expectations.
- Follow up consistently on all open opportunities.
- Accurately document all sales activities, job orders, and account interactions for performance tracking and commission eligibility.
- Attend daily Redzone meetings and collaborate with recruiting teams to ensure successful fulfillment of job orders.
- Ensure all job orders are entered accurately, completely, and in a timely manner within Nexeo's system of record.
- Include detailed job descriptions, accurate order requirements, start dates, and client information to support successful execution.
- Maintain ongoing updates to job orders as business needs change.
- Communicate client expectations clearly and promptly to internal teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, employees, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting client meetings, presentations, site visits, or business reviews preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for account growth, service expansion, and client retention.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) or applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Ability to analyze account performance and make recommendations to improve service, retention, and profitability.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly within the assigned service area, including daily client visits.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with recruiting, sales, and operations teams.
- Staffing industry experience preferred but not required.
Pay
$45,000 per year
