Carpenter/Wood Fabricator | Las Vegas, NV
Nexeo is looking for an experienced Carpenter / Wood Fabricator for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Las Vegas near the Speedway.
This is a hands-on shop fabrication position for someone who knows how to measure, cut, build, and assemble using wood and woodworking tools. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in carpentry, cabinet building, millwork, woodworking, custom fabrication, exhibit construction, fixture building, or similar trades.
If you can confidently read a tape measure, operate a table saw, work from drawings or measurements, and build with your hands, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble custom displays, exhibits, and components
- Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble materials
- Work with wood, plywood, laminates, and other fabrication materials
- Safely operate a table saw and other woodworking equipment
- Use miter saws, drills, routers, sanders, and other hand/power tools
- Accurately read a tape measure, including fractional measurements
- Follow measurements, drawings, and basic build instructions
- Perform repairs, modifications, and adjustments to display components
- Inspect completed work for fit, measurements, and quality
- Assist with staging, loading/unloading, and material handling as needed
- Operate a sit-down forklift when qualified
- Maintain a clean and safe fabrication/shop environment
Qualifications
- Hands-on woodworking, carpentry, cabinet building, millwork, exhibit fabrication, display building, fixture building, or similar fabrication experience
- Table saw experience
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials with accuracy
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with your hands
- Ability to follow drawings, measurements, or build instructions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
- Forklift experience preferred
- Reliable transportation required
Pay
$22.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
