Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in all phases of matrimonial litigation-from initial filings to resolution by settlement or trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial briefs.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Appear regularly in New York Supreme and Family Courts.
- Manage witness preparation and all stages of discovery.
- Maintain high-touch client communication throughout the lifecycle of each matter.
- Handle complex, sensitive cases with discretion and strategic judgment.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in New York.
- 3-5 years of hands-on matrimonial litigation experience is required.
- Demonstrated courtroom, deposition, and client-handling skills.
- Prior experience managing cases independently from intake through trial or settlement.
- Strong legal writing, research, and interpersonal skills.
