Labor & Employment Associate (3–5 Years Experience)
A well-established, full-service law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing team in Albany.
This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and collegial environment while advising employers on complex workplace matters, handling high-stakes disputes, and contributing to a dynamic and expanding practice.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct internal corporate and government investigations
- Defend and litigate employment-related claims and agency charges
- Handle wage and hour matters, including collective and class actions
- Advise and train employers on labor and employment law issues
- Represent clients in court, administrative proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Support collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions
- Defend unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB and PERB
- Counsel clients on compliance with laws including FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and related regulations
What You’ll Bring:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York Bar
- 3–5 years of labor & employment law experience
- Experience with investigations and litigation
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and exercise sound judgment
- Commitment to client service and professional excellence
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $140,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience)
