Schedule: Mon, Wed, & Fri: starting at 4PM, Tues & Thurs: starting around 5:30/6PM. Possible weekends
Total Weekly Hours: 26 hours/week
Job Description
Member needs a patient, dependable caregiver who is comfortable supporting a child with very limited verbal communication. Care will focus on calm, structured support, using simple cues, routines, and observation to understand needs. The home includes family and roommates (adults and children), so the caregiver should be respectful, professional, and able to work smoothly in a busy household.

We prefer caregivers who are no more than a 30-minute drive from the member’s home.
Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS)
Personal Care Assistance: Help with hygiene/grooming as needed, dressing assistance, and supportive supervision to ensure safety and comfort.
Communication & Behavioral Support: Use calm redirection, simple instructions, and consistent routines. Observe non-verbal cues and report changes to the family/agency.
Meal Support: Meal prep and assistance with eating as needed; encourage hydration and safe mealtime routines.
Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment in the member’s areas (tidying, wiping surfaces, taking out trash, basic cleaning related to care).
Safety Monitoring & Supervision: Provide attentive supervision during care hours, help prevent wandering/unsafe situations, and maintain a calm, supportive presence.
Documentation & Professionalism: Follow the care plan, document tasks completed, and communicate respectfully with household members.
