Job Description

Member needs a dependable caregiver to provide hands-on support due to very limited walking and reduced mobility. Assistance is needed with safe transfers, steadying while standing/walking, and completing daily routines with frequent rest breaks. Caregiver should be comfortable supporting someone with swelling in the lower legs/ankles and helping maintain comfort through proper positioning and mobility support. This role is best for someone who is patient, safety-focused, and confident with mobility assistance (including fall-prevention awareness). This is a non-smoking home and there are no pets in the home.

Required Duties (Texas STAR+PLUS)

Mobility & Safety Support: Assist with safe walking/steadying, transfers, and fall-prevention measures. Support comfortable positioning and routine movement as tolerated.
Personal Care (as authorized): Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene as needed.
Meal Support: Meal preparation, light cooking, and cleanup; encourage hydration and regular meals as appropriate.
Light Housekeeping: General tidying, sweeping/mopping as tolerated, dishes, laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a safe walkway/free of clutter.
Errands/Shopping (if authorized): Grocery shopping and essential errands as needed. Driving may be required if errands/shopping are part of the care plan.

Note: Duties performed will align with the STAR+PLUS service plan and authorized hours.
