The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide skilled care to the veterans and their dependents who reside at our facility, such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, feeding, general hygiene, transferring residents, care of ostomies, colostomy & ileostomy, maintenance of individual range of motion to prevent contractures, recognizing and reporting abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases, measuring and recording fluid intake, and assisting the health care team in treatments and observations, along with all aspects of daily living care.

Minimum Qualifications
Current New York Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Batavia employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Nursing Assistant Certified.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have long-term care experience
Additional Comments
One permanent, non-competitive, full-time appointment.
The posted salary range includes statutory hiring rate at step 4 and job rate for CSEA Grade 8 ($40,391 - $49,743), plus an additional geographic pay differential of $4,000.
If applicable, the inconvenience pay program of $575 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.
