New York Medical and Diagnostic Center is an Article 28 multispecialty healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Our center offers a range of specialized medical services, including Neurology, Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, Venous Procedures, Diagnostic Testing, PRP Therapy, Class IV Laser Therapy, and Non-Surgical Decompression. Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Healthcare Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role as the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring efficient management of front desk operations, patient scheduling, and supporting overall patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out.
- Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments in accordance with practice protocols.
- Handle patient inquiries via telephone, email, and in-person communication.
- Coordinate patient flow by notifying providers of patient arrivals and managing appointment schedules effectively.
- Ensure accurate data entry, maintaining patient records with confidentiality.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
- Collect co-payments and process patient payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Support administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, and filing as needed.
Hours of Operation: (must be available the following hours)
- Monday through Thursday: 9:00AM - 7:00PM
- Friday: 9:00AM - 2:00PM
- Saturday: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
- Sunday: CLOSED
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
