New York Medical and Diagnostic Center is seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Medical Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable balancing both clinical and administrative front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced medical office.
The ideal candidate must be able to assist with patient care, perform vitals and EKGs, and provide strong support at the front desk, including scheduling, customer service, and telephone communication.

Responsibilities
Front Desk / Reception Duties
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform data entry, word processing, and general clerical tasks
- Maintain organization of patient records and office workflow
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Multi-task effectively in a busy office environment
- Support daily office operations with flexibility and attention to detail
Medical Assistant Duties
- Take and record patient medical histories
- Measure and document vital signs
- Perform EKGs
- Prepare patients for examinations
- Explain treatment procedures to patients
- Assist the physician during examinations
- Perform basic laboratory tests
- Instruct patients about medications and special diets
- Prepare and administer medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections, including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
- Provide wound care and change dressings
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist preferred
- Ability to perform vitals and EKGs required
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
