Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our busy multi-specialty healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide both administrative and clinical support, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent patient experiences. This is a dual-role position requiring strong organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk / Reception Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage patient check-in/check-out process, verify insurance, and collect co-pays.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, handle incoming calls, and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
- Assist with patient intake forms, authorizations, and referrals.
Medical Assistant Duties
- Take and record patient vitals (blood pressure, pulse, height/weight, etc.).
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as rooming patients, and preparing supplies.
- Maintain infection control standards and keep exam rooms stocked and clean.
- Support providers with procedures and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or certification preferred).
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or medical assistant required.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, scheduling, and EMR systems.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work well under pressure.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Work Schedule
MUST BE AVAILABLE
- Monday – Thursday: 8:45 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:45 AM – 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:45 AM – 1:00 PM
