About the Role

The Clinical Department Supervisor III is responsible for the clinical oversight, supervision, and operational leadership of assigned clinical programs, staff, and services. As an independently licensed behavioral health professional, this role provides supervision to associate-level clinicians, therapists, and behavioral health staff while promoting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, staff development, and positive member outcomes. The Clinical Department Supervisor III partners closely with leadership to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed care across the organization

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Providing leadership and oversight for assigned clinical services, programs, and treatment teams
  • Delivering clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development support to therapists and behavioral health staff
  • Reviewing and approving clinical documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and clinical integrity
  • Monitoring program performance, service outcomes, and quality measures
  • Supporting audits, chart reviews, accreditation activities, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Consulting on complex clinical situations, treatment planning, risk management, and member care concerns
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve member engagement, care coordination, and treatment outcomes
  • Supporting departmental goals, operational initiatives, workforce development, and clinical excellence

What We’re Looking For

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field
  • Independent Arizona behavioral health licensure (LPC, LCSW, LISAC, or equivalent)
  • Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) designation and APEP accreditation
  • Minimum five years of behavioral health experience
  • Minimum two years of clinical supervision, leadership, or management experience
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, supervision, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Experience supervising associate-level clinicians pursuing independent licensure preferred
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary treatment teams preferred
  • Experience in substance use treatment, reentry services, correctional behavioral health, or residential treatment settings preferred
  • Experience with accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives preferred
  • Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification preferred
  • Lived recovery experience and willingness to appropriately utilize that experience in support of members preferred

  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective when supporting clinical staff and members through complex situations
