The Special Education Secretary to the Psychologist provides essential administrative support to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage deadlines, maintain accurate records, and effectively communicate with staff across all five cooperative districts.
Performance Responsibilities/Duties
- Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders across five cooperative districts using phone, email, written correspondence, and in-person interactions.
- Perform accurate data entry for IEP documents across multiple database systems.
- Track, monitor, and communicate compliance deadlines to staff members for the school psych team.
- Collaborate with the psychology staff to manage compliance timelines for a wide variety of disability categories.
- Maintain accurate and organized cumulative student files for each member district.
- Regularly monitor the status of active evaluations and work with evaluation teams to ensure the successful completion of timelines.
- Coordinate travel paperwork, registrations, and logistics for Special Services staff attending professional development and training events.
- Coordinate with principals and special education director to organize interview and hiring paperwork for life skills instructional assistants.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
- Contract: 12-month position (260 days per year)
- Reports to: Director of Special Education
- Compensation: Salary position paid 26 pays per year. This position includes benefits and leave days
