NCCSC is seeking a highly organized and professional Secretary of Student Services to support the administrative, attendance, discipline, and counseling functions at New Castle High School. This role serves as a key point of contact for students, families, and staff while maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring efficient office operations.

NCCSC is seeking a highly organized and professional Secretary of Student Services to support the administrative, attendance, discipline, and counseling functions at New Castle High School. This role serves as a key point of contact for students, families, and staff while maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring efficient office operations.
Essential Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Manage calendars, appointments, and meetings for the Assistant Principal, Dean, and Counseling team
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentation materials
- Maintain confidential student records in compliance with FERPA
- Track and record daily attendance using the Student Information System (SIS)
- Process absences, tardies, and early dismissals
- Generate attendance reports and flag chronic truancy concerns
- Process disciplinary referrals and assist with detention/suspension documentation
- Schedule hearings and communicate with parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior and interventions
- Assist with student scheduling, transcripts, and college application materials
- Support student intake for counseling services
- Help coordinate events such as College Fairs, Awards Nights, and Graduation
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and phone inquiries
- Provide accurate information to families and staff
- Manage office supplies and incoming mail
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years administrative experience (K–12 preferred)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace; PowerSchool experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
