What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Cable Technician - Middleburg position at Network Cabling Services?
We are seeking Low Voltage Cable Technicians to become an integral part of our team!
Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks per BICSI, local and customer standards
- Provide daily/weekly reports as required
- Typical working hours are between 7am - 5pm
- Arrive to work on time
- Overtime as needed
- Basic Hand Tools
Qualifications:
- Good work ethic, team mindset & positive attitude a must
- Must have previous Structured Cabling Experience
- Install J-Hook pathways
- Install Network cabling, Coax, Composite Wire, Fiber, Copper
- Using a Labeler
- Build out IDF Ladder Rack and Racks
- Dress bundles in groups of 24 -Using a Cable Comb
- Terminate Patch Panels
- Experience with Testing equipment, Fluke DSX, OTDR, Power Meter
- Fiber Termination / Fusion Splicing
- Troubleshooting common Cable Fails
- Troubleshooting Fiber
- Able to travel daily and overnight on occasion
- Able to work Night shifts
- Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid DL and dependable transportation
