The Security Installer is responsible for installing, testing, servicing, and maintaining security systems for commercial and industrial customers. This role works closely with project managers, lead technicians, and customers to ensure successful project completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and service security systems, including:
- CCTV Cameras
- Access Control Systems
- Intrusion Alarm Systems
- Intercom Systems
- Structured Cabling
- Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling.
- Mount and install cameras, readers, panels, and associated hardware.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and project documentation.
- Complete project documentation and service reports.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide professional customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of low-voltage or security installation experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in ceilings and confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Genetec, LenelS2, Avigilon, Axis, Honeywell, Bosch, or similar platforms.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Experience with structured cabling and network infrastructure.
