The Security Lead is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems while providing leadership and direction to field technicians. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and in accordance with company and customer standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise security installation teams on commercial and industrial projects.
- Coordinate daily activities, schedules, and work assignments for technicians.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot security systems, including:
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV/Video Surveillance Systems
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Intercom Systems
- Network-Based Security Solutions
- Review project drawings, specifications, and work orders.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related project issues.
- Conduct site assessments and provide project status updates.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of security system installation experience.
- 1 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Manufacturer Certifications (Genetec, LenelS2, Avigilon, Axis, etc.)
- Low Voltage License (where applicable)
