Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Overtime Available)
Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician – Jacksonville, FL
We are seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician to oversee and perform structured cabling installations for commercial, industrial, and data center projects throughout the Jacksonville area. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technician who can manage crews, read blueprints, and ensure high-quality installations.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of low voltage technicians on job sites
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot:
- Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A copper cabling
- Fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode)
- Coax and other communication cabling
- Install cable pathways including conduit, J-hooks, ladder rack, cable tray, and innerduct
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
- Perform cable labeling, documentation, and as-built updates
- Conduct cable certification using Fluke or similar testing equipment
- Coordinate daily work activities with project managers and customers
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to industry standards
- Train and mentor junior technicians
Requirements
- 4 years of structured cabling or low voltage installation experience
- 1 years of experience leading crews or acting as a foreman
- Strong experience with copper and fiber optic cabling
- Ability to terminate and test network and fiber cables
- Experience reading blueprints and construction documents
- Familiarity with BICSI standards and industry best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders and lifts
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Technician (TECH), Installer 2, or higher certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Scissor lift and boom lift certification
- Experience in healthcare, industrial, or data center environments
Pay: $26.60 - $32.04 per hour
