Job Description:
The Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of technology systems and resources within one or multiple school districts. This role involves ensuring all hardware and software are effectively integrated and maintained, providing technical support to teachers and students, and facilitating professional development opportunities in the use of technology. The Engagement Manager will work closely with the onsite technicians, corporate IT resources, and educational staff to enhance technology integration and ensure seamless, efficient experience for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Integration and Support:
- Oversee the implementation and integration of technology tools into district classrooms.
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with Net56 onsite and corporate based technical support to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure compatibility and integration across various systems and platforms.
- User Training and Professional Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs for district staff and teachers on the effective use of implemented technology tools.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to staff, students, and other users.
- Promote and support the development of technology skills among employees or students, ensuring they are well-equipped to use digital tools effectively in their roles.
- Coordinate with teachers in advancing current remote and blended learning capabilities.
- Technology Management and Administration:
- Assist in the selection and procurement of new hardware, software, and other technological tools suitable for district implementation.
- Maintain an inventory of all technology equipment and ensure proper documentation.
- Manage software licenses, updates, and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Help develop and implement technology-related policies and procedures.
- Project Management and Strategy:
- Plan and execute technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational and district goals.
- Collaborate with district and corporate leadership to identify technological needs and recommend solutions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of technology tools and systems, gathering feedback to drive improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging technology trends and assess their potential benefits for the organization.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between corporate leadership, district faculty, students, and onsite Net56 staff to facilitate communication on technology issues.
- Assist students and district faculty with responsible and appropriate technology use.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in technology use across the school district.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a technology-related role, in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Experience with managing and implementing educational technologies, learning management systems, or business systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified Professional).
- Experience with cloud-based services, learning management systems (LMS), and collaboration tools.
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
