Position: Gas Regulation Station Designer
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour on W2
Location: Denver CO (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Position Overview:
This role will support small-scale gas regulation station and regulator station projects (not large compressor stations). You will be responsible for end-to-end project ownership including conducting site visits, producing designs from IFR (Issued For Review) through As-Built stages, and generating complete drawing packages for each phase.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and updating 3D models using CAD Worx (preferred) or comparable tools
- Translating 3D models into fabrication and as-built drawings
- Preparing 2D/3D models, sketches, working drawings, and contract documents
- Developing accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensuring correct pipe specifications & classifications
- Coordinating closely with engineers, project managers, and operations teams
- Managing document control, revisions, and drawing transmittals
- Occasional travel for site visits to gas facilities (full-day trips, e.g., Grand Junction or Alamosa)
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of drafting & design experience
- Proficiency in CAD Worx (strongly preferred) or similar CAD tools
- Ability to interpret drawings and translate them into real-world field applications
- Strong understanding of pipe specifications, Bills of Materials, and document/revision management
- Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
