Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Easy Syracuse, NY
Contract Duration: 8 Months (Possible extension)
Pay Rate : $30/hr on W2
This is a temporary position that will be filled for 8 months, but could be extended longer based on employee's performance
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory tasks including reagent preparation, sample management, instrument maintenance, inventory/ordering of supplies, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned
- Perform non-GMP analytical testing of study samples to support upstream and downstream process development studies
- Document experimental data and results, perform data verification, prepare protocols and final reports
- Support analytical initiatives including method development, qualification, and technical transfer of methods to the Quality Control laboratory
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and assist with troubleshooting
- Occasional night and weekend hours may be required
Quals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Knowledge of a variety of analytical biochemistry techniques (i.e., HPLC, qPCR, ELISA, CE-SDS, iCIEF, UV, MS, Cell based assays) is preferred
- B.S./M.S./or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent area of related study with 0-5 yrs. relevant experience
