Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 60 firm, is seeking a strategic HR Project Coordinator to provide high‑level project coordination and operational support to the firm’s HR function and leadership team. This role partners closely with the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Administration & Operations to support firmwide HR initiatives, monitor progress on strategic projects, and deliver systems and administrative support within a fast‑paced legal environment.
In this role, you will coordinate and support cross-functional HR, administrative, and operational projects from planning through execution, maintaining timelines, deliverables, and dashboards while following up with stakeholders to ensure progress. You will assist with research, data analysis, and the preparation of presentations, reports, and leadership materials, while also developing and maintaining monthly and ad hoc reporting. The role includes supporting HR systems and platforms such as BigHand and Culture Amp, contributing to process improvement efforts through documentation and workflow optimization, and helping identify risks and mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and brings a proven ability to support complex, cross‑functional projects in a fast‑paced professional services or legal environment. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
