LOCATION: NDSCS – Wahpeton, North Dakota
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 12-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Heating Plant Operator Lead, performs journey level duties within the heating plant and other related duties as assigned. The position may perform other duties that are considered necessary for the operation of the heating plant and campus heating distribution system.
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED
One year exp. with high pressure boiler operations / related equipment and/or mechanical exp.
Ability to work with high pressures/ temperatures, hazardous chemicals, heights, and confined spaces
Basic mechanical skills
Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, computerized workstations, water analysis lab equip., diagnostic equip, payloaders
Ability to lift a max of 50-75 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
Boiler operator license comparable to Minnesota 1st Class, Grade B or higher
Multi-fuel type boiler operation experience
Valid Driver's License

SALARY: $52,000-$60,000, commensurate with education and experience
