Position Title: Financial Aid Assistant
Location: Edison, NJ 08837
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Onsite; occasional late evenings required)
Contract Duration: 103 Weeks
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Aid Assistant to support the Financial Aid department in administering student financial aid programs. This role involves working closely with students, processing financial aid information, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely aid distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of financial aid programs
- Process student loans and reconcile financial aid packages (critical function)
- Prepare and distribute financial aid materials and application packets
- Serve as a point of contact for student financial aid inquiries
- Maintain and update student financial aid records and scholarship files
- Stay current with financial aid regulations, policies, and updates
- Collaborate with admissions, registration, and finance departments
- Ensure accurate and timely communication across departments
- Provide support for student services activities such as orientations and graduation events
- Participate in administrative meetings and departmental initiatives
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate documentation
- Support additional administrative tasks and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail, especially in financial processing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a professional office environment
- Experience with financial aid processing is highly preferred
- Familiarity with:
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- State grant programs
- Student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Data entry experience
